Avery and Gaby first crossed paths in a study hall at Watertown High School. Although they became fast friends, it would be many years before their bond blossomed into something more. As the years passed, their mutual circle of friends stayed together, frequently making time for each other and organizing outings throughout the northeast. Avery and Gaby's friendship only continued to grow stronger.

It wasn’t until 2020, amidst a global pandemic, that Avery finally gathered the courage to share the feelings he’d been quietly harboring since high school. To his surprise, Gaby felt the same way. That summer, they took the plunge and started dating. The rest, as they say, is history.

Fast forward to July 2023, when they took another big step... purchasing their first home together. Becoming homeowners marked one of the best decisions of their lives—right up there with Gaby’s idea to adopt their two adorable kittens, Ivy and Scarlett.

Gaby and Avery love hosting friends and family in their home. In November 2024, during what seemed like a typical gathering, Avery suggested a walk to Watertown’s town center for the annual Christmas tree lighting. What started as a casual outing turned into a magical moment... Avery completely surprised Gaby by getting down on one knee. In full disbelief, Gaby said yes, surrounded by their closest friends and family.

And now, after more than a decade of friendship and love, Gaby and Avery are ready to say "I do." Here's to a love story that's been a long time in the making!
